In the area of today's Odorheiu Secuiesc, a fortress (castrum) was built in Roman times to protect the border. This castrum was part of the castrums of Siófok, Siklod, Martonos, Ilak and Székelyszentmihály, which were continued to the east by Homorodszentpál.
Our mission is to rediscover, keep and modernize the individual and community knowledge gathered by our ancestors, to celebrate the crafts and traditions of Transylvania. The International Folk Festival and Fair is an opportunity to integrate the cultural acomplishments of this region into the European cultural heritage. A great way to serve our community and culture by showing authentic values in our Transylvanian manner: modestly, untiringly and with love for art.
